I Carried My Sons and Daughters
My Grandfather recalls "dilly bag" days when my Great Grandmother carried her Son and Daughter in a dilly bag. Dilly Bags were also used for carrying food. Some of the words to a song I wrote are "I carried my son and daughter over the mountains and valleys they were too young to walk. Rivers and streams were flowing and Great Grandmothers love was showing. The Dilly Bag is in the centre surrounded by the sun setting. The green represents mountains and the blue lines separate flowing streams.
