RU FLYING? NAH gROOunded

$12,500.00

Qantas once used Aboriginal designs on their uniforms for their airline staff. They still have a red kangaroo on their logo and I painted this big kangaroo in red ochre. I used hand motifs to represent people wondering what to do in the face of the crisis that occurred when there was an unprecedented grounding of all domestic and international flights in 2011. The blues represent the coastline around Australia and the earth colours represent the land, the sunrise and sunset.
